We attended an Irish piece of a Wielka Orkiestra Swiatecznej Pomocy (Great Orchestra of Christmas Aid) in Le Cirk pub on Sunday. It's one of the largest charity events in the world.
You could listen to many artists, learn salsa, take part in art/commodity auctions and what is the most important - support the noble cause. Learning salsa:

Happens every year. A Christmas Party. This year was somewhat special. Because of the economic situation and the expense freeze in the fourth quarter it was the first time we had to pay for ourselves. Gulp.. ;/ We went to Park Plaza Restaurant in Tyrrelstown. It's certainly a nice place but unfortunately the food wasn't very good and portions were rather smallish. Anyway... we had a good time there...
