According to Silicon Republic Amazon won't release Kindle Touch in Europe in any foreseeable future.
I'm getting tired of treating European customers as a second class citizens by some major companies.

Page display problem in Firefox 4 beta?
I've just found something that looks like a page rendering bug in Firefox 4.0 beta 10.
Screenshot:
Firefox 4.0 beta 10 on the left; Firefox 3.6.15 on the right.
I've already reported it in Bugzilla. I wonder what the feedback will be?

Interesting news.
It seems Android is conquering even more and more of mobile market.

"The mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson said yesterday that focusing on the Google Android operating system had catapulted it back into profit, ending a two-year losing streak."

My phone went mad
My phone (LG KS360) got hit by a software bug with the dawn of 2011.
The date displayed on 1st of January was:
Yep - 82nd day of 82nd month.
I've waited a few days to see if situation will sort itself out.
That's what it was today:
and the set date option:
In addition the alarms stopped working.
I've had enough of experimenting for now so I'm setting the correct date manually. (Actually it wasn't so easy - I wasn't able to change the day, only month was editable - but after a few tries I managed to succeed).
On a side note - Samsung Galaxy looks tempting - between 90-100 Euro... ;)

digiKam and memory
After working on 27 photos the memory consumed by digiKam 1.2 is currently at 1 560 268 kB (as reported by KDE System Activity under Memory column).
This is reported when no photo is edited at the moment.
Things start to slow down - and the computer starts to use a page file.
I've restarted the application and displayed the same photo - now the memory consumption is 160 404 kilobytes.
Looks like some bad memory leaks to me.
