Day 2 was fairly warm for this time of year and sunny. We went for a walk to escape at least for a while from eating, watching TV, playing cards and Rummikub.
Happens every year. A Christmas Party. This year was somewhat special. Because of the economic situation and the expense freeze in the fourth quarter it was the first time we had to pay for ourselves. Gulp.. ;/ We went to Park Plaza Restaurant in Tyrrelstown. It's certainly a nice place but unfortunately the food wasn't very good and portions were rather smallish. Anyway... we had a good time there...

We visited Farmleigh on the first weekend of December. It was a usual market day with additional Christmas bonuses! As usual we enjoyed every minute spent in there. Christmas Carols sang by a bunch of Santas! :)
Farmers market in Farmleigh - we love to visit the place.
Black radish - a vegetable almost unknown in Ireland. When we bought one farmer told us that he had sold only 2 this year. I believe we bought the first one too. :)
During the weekend we visited Mt Usher Gardens, a dozen or so kilometers from Dublin. A day was a bit chili but the magic of the garden held us in its magic long after we left. The wild yellows and reds held us in constant awe of the place.
The entrance.
Blindingly vivid reds painted by the frost in the early mornings.
The Autumn is upon us. The sun casts it's warm light drowning Farmleigh in yellows and reds. Shiny brass in the middle of the lawn. Curious looking and warm to the touch.
We were invited for a wedding in France. We caught the opportunity when it showed up and took some extra days to visit this gorgeous part of the world. Our first day at French Riviera.
The arrival to Nice.
Hills towering over the city.
Monaco. A place where modern and historic architectures coexist peacefully.
